protecting your images from on-line theft

Thank you all SO much for checking out my new site and for your wonderful feedback! From now on all of my blog posts will be on my new website, under the 'news' section.

Last week I posted about an important story I wanted to share with all artists. I was alerted by a very kind person that my work was being used by another artist in his online gallery. He was taking credit for making my work and a few other artists' work.

Please read the full story here. Please protect yourself and spread the word!

Put plain and simple: the only way to protect your images from being downloaded or stolen off a web page is to not put them online in the first place. While I put this fact out there as blunt as possible, there are several techniques we can use to make website downloads and image theft much harder. Of course, image theft can be defined in a number of ways, and its definition - and hence measures (if any) taken to prevent it - will depend upon the individual.
