Working in the Third Dimension, a blog dedicated to 3D art!

I am so excited to share this with you... the 3D blog is LIVE!

I have been putting together a blog about 3D artwork, dimensional illustration, toys and sculpted stuff.. a wide variety of mediums and examples of work from different artists along with little interviews.

I haven’t found anything out there that focuses solely on dimensional work and I think it’d be a nice place to learn about how other artists in a similar field work, why they make dimensional stuff, etc. It was sad to see the Dimensional Salon come to an end. This might be a nice way to continue it and also for artists working in similar ways to connect with each other.

The blog is live today with the first post profiling Chris Walsh, a wonderful 3D artist based in the UK.

Please follow this blog, pass it along and post it around!

thank you and enjoy!

Your work is exceptional Liz.

It has made me look at doing more 'worthy stuff.' There's a limit to how much skill and detail I can demonstrate when I have to knock out 40 illo's in a couple of months. After about the second or third I'm already saying to myself-only another 37 odd to go:¬)

I have considered using Sculpey but I'm going to try creating some high end ceramics models as a counter-balance to my kiddie stuff:¬)

I just spent quite a bit of time poring over your blog and your work. You have given me so much inspiration - I sculpt celebrity caricatures out of wool and it is my dream to one day illustrate with them. Thank you!
